Амет Бербер: «Постоянно видел во сне Ускут»

Amet Berber's childhood lasted only eight years. He was born in 1936 in sunny Uskut. But the war, followed by the deportation of 1944, shattered the peace of the family, which was raising six children. Losses, hunger, and hard labor in a foreign land did not break young Amet. He carried his longing for Crimea through the decades, and in 1990, as an adult, he returned to his native land with his wife, Gulhanie, and their children. Today, Amet-kartbaba is 90 years old, and he lives surrounded by the warmth and love of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
