The royal palaces of Linderhof and Herrenchiemsee. Inspired by the ideas of the Age of Enlightenment, King Ludwig built them based on the French palace of Versailles, imbuing them with mysterious symbols and signs. Few have the opportunity to visit Schachen, the king's secluded mountain palace. We invite you to admire the oriental fairytale of its interiors. The construction of castles and palaces revived the traditional crafts for which this land has been famous since ancient times, and today the small towns of Füssen and Oberammergau attract travelers with their workshops. Musical instruments and wooden sculptures are still made here.
