Tamati teams up with one of his heroes — bushman Hamiora Gibson — in the wild Waioeka Gorge. First up: trout (which gets messy for Tamati). Then Hamiora opens the door to the huge world of edible native plants. Eventually the deer appear — in big numbers — giving Tamati chance after chance at breaking the fallow curse. But can he finally make the shot?
