There Is No Other Way To Synchronize It With The Console 👈 ✅ Steps to sync your PS3 controller: Using the USB cable to charge the controllers. The PS3 comes with a USB cable that is normally used to charge the controllers using the console or a 5V USB charger or a PC USB. If you can't turn on your PS3 through the controller, it's most likely because the controller (because of the crashes it gives, as I mentioned in the video) isn't being recognized by the system. The first thing we need to do is connect it to the console's USB port and try to turn on the PS3 using the controller, or we can do it manually by pressing the ON button on the PS3. If you have multiple controllers and none of them are recognized by the PS3, connect each one with the charging cable, which will force the console to recognize them and assign them a controller number. If this works and the controller is synchronized, you won't need to use the cable for the PS3 to recognize it. Simply unplug the cable (the lights may flash), press the PS button on the controller, and it will be synchronized. If this previous method with the USB cable doesn't work, we'll need to reset our controller(s). This is done as follows: The controller has a round hole on the back next to the L1 and L2 buttons. Pressing it with a thin toothpick or paper clip will force the controller to reset. This will empty the Bluetooth memory on our controller and clear it. We'll then have to repeat the entire previous process with the USB charging cable. If the above doesn't work, completely turn off the PS3, even if it's unplugged from the power outlet for about 15 seconds. Reset the controller with a toothpick or paper clip, holding it down for about 5 seconds. Plug the console back in, connect the PS3 controller to the console using the USB charging cable, and repeat the previous steps to try syncing it. If none of these methods were successful in syncing the controller, or if we synced it via the cable but it didn't sync after disconnecting the USB cable, then the Bluetooth module in our controller or our console would be failing. We'd need to determine which one is failing. To do this, we could take our controller to someone else's house who has a PS3 and try syncing it. If it does sync, the fault is with our PS3's Bluetooth card. If a friend's or family member's controller synced on our PS3 but ours didn't, then the Bluetooth on our PS3 controller would be failing.
