The batteries on old Nissan LEAFs are uniquely bad. Jade’s 40kWh Nissan LEAF battery was failing - dropping from full charge to just 50 miles of usable range. When she contacted Nissan, they refused to cover it under warranty. Why? Her car was one day over the 5-year limit. Now she’s facing an £8,430 bill to replace the pack herself.
