How a housing is made for Suburban Tool’s optical comparator by Carlson Metal Products.
Join us on a field trip to Carlson Metal Products to show you how our Optical Comparator shrouds are made. We start with a turret press to cut the shape from flat. Then we move to the inspection room and scan the part and overlay it against an approved digital model. Once the part is approved to proceed, we move to the press brake. Now off to welding and then paint. Carlson has been our sheet metal partner for the last 23 years. Check out their website at http://www.carlsonmetal.com/
