Anima Christi - The Body, Blood, Sacrifice, and Love of Christ

Corpus Christi, the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, celebrates one of the greatest mysteries of the Catholic faith: the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist. For Catholics, the Eucharist is not merely a symbol or reminder of Christ. Through the mystery of God's love, Jesus becomes truly present—Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity—under the appearances of bread and wine. In every Mass, Christ offers Himself to us just as He did at the Last Supper and on Calvary, inviting us into intimate communion with Him. This feast reminds us that God does not remain distant. He chooses to dwell among His people, nourishing souls, healing hearts, and drawing believers into deeper union with Himself. The Eucharist is called the "source and summit of the Christian life" because it is where heaven touches earth and where Christ continues to give Himself completely for the salvation of the world. May this celebration renew our wonder, gratitude, and love for Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. "Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him." — John 6:56
