Hey there guys, I'm back with a longer video this time! I wanted to explore the intricacies of the Cuban boxing system, which has produced so many Olympic champions over the years. From Kid Chocolate in the 1920s, to Teofilo Stevenson in the 1970s, before Felix Savon's rise in the late 1980s, Cuban boxing has been characterised by excellence and prestige. But from researching- I've noticed a distinct lack of information on the topic- aside from a few documentaries from the early 2000s. This video seeks to combine some clips with those, alongside information drawn from books like John Duncan's 'In The Red Corner' to produce an accurate picture of what the training and regimen is like for Cuba's top boxing prospects.
