After a year and a half of traveling around Japan, we purchased an old farmhouse with farmland and forest and started living in the countryside. While struggling as novice farmers growing grains, we're working together as a couple in our late twenties/early thirties, aiming for our ideal lifestyle through DIY in the old farmhouse, rice paddies, fields, mountain development, etc. Our well water dried up, forcing us to live without water, but the important planting season began. Prioritizing farming meant that our DIY projects didn't progress at all. We finally started, but we made tons of basic mistakes and it was chaos.
