While most travelers head straight for the famous trees of the Guinigi Tower, I’m taking a different path up the tallest tower in Lucca, the Torre delle Ore (Clock Tower). Climbing these ancient wooden stairs offers more than just a workout, it’s a journey through time. From the rhythmic ticking of the 18th-century clock mechanism to the incredible 360-degree views of Tuscany’s red-tiled roofs and distant mountains, this is easily my favorite "hidden gem" climb in the city.
