Constitutional Court clears path for copyright reform
The Constitutional Court handed down a landmark judgment upholding most provisions of the Copyright Amendment Bill and the Performers' Protection Amendment Bill. In a majority judgment penned by Justice Nonkosi Mhlantla, the court found the controversial fair use exception Constitutional, clearing the way for the Bills to be signed into law.
