Forastera de can Reviu - One of the best tasting fig varieties of the season!

I don't know why I haven't heard more about this fig variety. What a great taste! This is a fig that more people need to be growing. I can't remember why I picked up this variety. I got it late last season and it didn't get a chance to grow much before I had to put it to sleep in the greenhouse for the winter. I got my first ripe figs off this tree today, and they were awesome! They had a very sweet berry flavor that reminded me of some of the best tasting figs (Smith), but it also had a really good sweet chewy skin, which I love. This fig variety is a winner! Now I just need to learn how to pronounce the name.
