Machining a Z base bar for a SwissMak
Full bottom and top cycles to make the lengthwise Z axis base bar for one of the Kickstarter machines. The 2nd operation (top side) begins with in-process probing at 10:45 in the video. We did this a while ago, the programs have been optimized and are significantly shorter now. Each bar is just over one meter long and weighs about 64lbs (29 kilograms). Fun fact: it took longer to upload this to Youtube than it did to machine 14 of these bars.
