Best conditions in Europe? Ukrainian refugees in Berlin
Germany is the country that has the largest number of Ukrainian refugees - over 1 million people. There is a reason for that - biggest financial support, free language courses, medical and child care and many more ways that Germany and Germans support Ukrainians who fled the war. Of course, there are always questions, misunderstandings and just cultural differences. We spoke to several Ukrainian women (including a gay couple), a migration lawyer and a local volunteer, to understand what the life of a refugee is like. NOTE: this video was filmed in April 2022, just a month and a half into the Russian full-scale invasion on Ukraine. Many things have changed since that. We are Ukrainian film makers, and we dubbed some of our content that was produced for local market, into english, so you can have a first-hand point of view about our country and people.
