First time Kayaking Soča River | UPPER SOČA - BUNKER SECTION - ŽAGA

River Soča, Slovenia UPPER SOČA - BUNKER SECTION - ŽAGA 06.07.2024, day 1 Water level 101cm (gauge Kršovec) This was our first time paddling the Soča, and it did not disappoint. We started our journey in Lepena, navigating through the thrilling Bunker Section, where the rapids kept us on our toes. After an exhilarating morning, we took a well-deserved break in Bovec for some coffee and snacks. After our well-needed break, we continued downstream, running down more rapids, smaller but still fun, and enjoying the breathtaking scenery of the Soča Valley. While the day was full of paddling, it was also full of swimming for Karlo – let’s just say the river had its way with him! 😂 We finished our first day on Soča in Žaga, where our cozy Top Rafting camp awaited us.
