Buffalo Revisited: Perry Projects Gone, Central Terminal Changes, and a Forgotten Wright Landmark
It’s been a couple of years since I last filmed in Buffalo, New York — and in that first visit, I explored a few places that were sitting on the edge of some major changes. So now that I’m back in the area, I wanted to check in and see how things have played out. The abandoned Perry Projects have been completely demolished, and new housing is already starting to take shape in its place. Meanwhile, over at the Buffalo Central Terminal, renovations are slowly moving forward — and it’s still one of the most visually striking structures I’ve ever filmed. Along the way, I made a quick stop at Larkin Square to check out the former site of the Frank Lloyd Wright–designed Larkin Administration Building — a little piece of history that I've found since my first video. To be clear, this is just a narrow slice of a much bigger city. I'm not trying to represent all of Buffalo — just the parts I’ve personally latched onto. But it’s exciting to see some of these long-abandoned places finally start to move forward. Let me know what you think — especially if you’re local. What did I miss? What should I check out next time?
