抜刀術/Battojutsu/Sword drawing technique Battoujutsu is performed assuming a situation in which the opponent will cut into you. You feel yourself and your opponent. It is important to take a quiet stance and prepare your body procedures. (Recorded on February 26, 2018) Background of the shoot The title "Kazaana" was chosen to express the idea that martial arts training in modern times is not simply practice, but that "the training itself is the real thing." Psychologically, people need time to contemplate their own existence, freed from the everyday. The role of the video is important to ensure that martial arts does not become a misleading business. Shooting conditions The shoot began early in the morning in midwinter. The probability of precipitation was 60% until the night before, but it did not rain and the sun came out from noon. Since we had obtained permission from the shrine and studio on this day, we had no choice but to pray to God for the weather. Because of the cold, my hands were numb and I had a hard time with the technique of 「Kaizuki」, but I managed to get by with my mindset. The footing and temperature were not as good as in dojo training, and I was reminded of the importance of outdoor training.
