The LAP Clockwise 2025 - The Beautiful Ultra
The LAP aka The Beautiful Ultra is a 75km (47 mile) ultra marathon in the peaks around Lake Windermere, organised by Davy Newell. I was due to run it in May 2024 but rolled my ankle so badly I couldn't walk 5 weeks before the event, and became one of Davy's "bad excuses". In 2025 I made it to the start line, full of anxiety. Had I trained enough? Was I even capable of this? Let's find out.
