Fantastic Drag Racing History: 1970s Radio Ads From OCIR and Fremont - Screamer Ads, Awesome Images
This is a video featuring a collection of screamer style radio ads promoting Orange County International Raceway in the 1973-1975 time frame. The ads were voiced by Larry Huffman, a man known as Supermouth and one of the most famed voices in the history of American motorsports. Huffman earned his nickname by being able to speak 300 words per minute of understandable English. He was a legend. Along with the ads are a collection of period images from OCIR that show various events, people, and cars at the track through its life. There are also images of the track after its closure in 1984. Enjoy this audio and visual trip back in time!
