In order to accurately create multiple identical patchwork pieces, I believe it's essential to have a rotary cutter and a cutting mat to place underneath. I believe that a rotary cutter is an essential item for efficiently and accurately cutting fabric and sewing together the pieces when sewing machine patchwork. The rotary cutter brands I currently use are CLOVER and OLFA, and I have no experience using any other manufacturers. If I had to choose between these two, I would recommend OLFA. I explain why in the video. Rotary cutters take some getting used to. To cut, you slide the cutter from front to back, but beginners may find it a bit difficult to maintain an even distribution of force. That's exactly how it was for me when I first started using it. You don't need to cut with a lot of force, but once you get used to it, you'll be able to cut smoothly. As for the other items, they're not absolutely essential. What's considered "useful to have" is a matter of personal preference. I'm not a professional.
