Por que TODO MUNDO odeia o Diamante?

The prejudice against Diamond players didn’t come out of nowhere. I’m going to give you some context about this debate that I’ve wanted to talk about for a long time. So, alright, let’s get into it. Back in 2019, you could say that League of Legends was living a golden era. There were still login screen animations, Pantheon’s rework had just happened, Senna was revealed, and we had INTZ vs Flamengo in the final. A lot of cool things came out that year. The first Nexus turret was already being destroyed. INTZ ties the series. Flamengo in this huge final. It was a time when games were lasting 45 minutes. A lot of people were playing ranked, and a lot of people wanted to become high elo. To help these players, many high-elo content creators started making videos pointing out Diamond players’ mistakes, mainly with the goal of improving Brazilian high elo. And they were right to do that. No matter what elo you are, you’re going to make a lot of mistakes. In lower elos, when I was there, my teammates would start dying one by one and before I knew it, the game was lost. Burned Flash for nothing. Having people make videos about mistakes is something that really improves the server. And it did improve—trust me. Later in the video I’ll show some graphs, alright? But clearly, players were frustrated because they couldn’t reach high elo. Back then, most players were Silver. Nowadays, it’s still mostly Silver, with Gold being close behind. And when these players watched high-elo creators criticizing Diamond—saying Diamond is the worst elo in the game, showing mistakes that the viewer believes they don’t make—low elo players started putting Diamond down as a way to feel better about themselves. It also became an excuse for not climbing. When in reality, they just can’t reach it. They can’t get Diamond, they see most of the community talking trash about Diamond, and they use that as an excuse. “Diamond 1 is the worst elo in the world.” “Diamond isn’t high elo, man.” “Diamond is by far the worst elo in LoL.” “I wanted to go mid. Malzahar should’ve gone side since he has TP. And then the guy uses TP mid, man. Diamond II and they still don’t know how to use TP.” “Killing support Ashe must be better than doing Baron, right, Lillia?” “And he almost got solo killed. I hate this elo so much.” Got it so far? So let’s talk about something. You don’t have the standing to judge a Diamond player. “Oh, but you’re saying that without knowing my elo.” Friend, out of every 100 ranked players, about two to three are Diamond. The chances that I’m talking to someone below that are very high. If you can’t reach Diamond, you simply don’t have the level for it. And if you don’t have the level, you don’t have the authority to criticize Diamond players. Over time, people started saying Diamond is low elo. But being low elo or high elo isn’t a matter of opinion or how Diamond players perform—it’s a matter of statistics. Very few players reach Diamond, and even fewer reach Master. We’re talking about roughly 2% of the server. And that’s not any creator’s fault. Daniels has nothing to do with it. Ucla, Túlio—they’re just doing their part by pointing out mistakes to improve the server. But this mindset made so many people comfortable that those who aren’t Diamond just say, “That’s why I don’t try to climb. I’ll just hit Gold for the skin and that’s it.” I genuinely hate that mentality. What I want with this discussion is to say it directly: if you can’t reach Diamond, you don’t have the level for it. And if you don’t have the level, you don’t have the right to talk down on it. You should aim for that elo, because only 2% of the server made it there. And once you actually get there and see the problems, the mistakes—then you’ll understand what it’s like to be Diamond. There’s no such thing as Diamond not being high elo. Players get way too comfortable with the rank they’re in. They don’t put in the minimum effort to reach a higher rank, but when Brazil embarrasses itself internationally, they’re the first to comment: “Ah, another disappointment.” “Ah, they just went for experience, come on.” And guys, I realized I needed to make this video when I opened the comments on one of our Instagram Reels. I was genuinely disappointed seeing how players think. Some of those comments… that mentality needs to change. So that’s it, discussion over. If you support this kind of content, please subscribe. It’s a new channel, so it’s going to take time to grow. I’m really counting on all of you. And thank you.
