Panasonic Palmcorder PV-L550D VHS-C Camcorder Demo - Does This 90s Camcorder Still Work?
Our eBay Store: https://ebay.us/RGj1W6 Check out our other social media and product links: https://linktr.ee/shedflips Quick walkthrough and working demo of a Panasonic Palmcorder PV-L550D VHS-C camcorder - condition check, included accessories, and a full power, zoom, record, and playback test. The PV-L550D is the late-1990s Panasonic Palmcorder that records to compact VHS-C cassettes and has the flip-out LCD screen plus a small built-in light on the front of the lens housing. We pulled this one out of inventory to show what comes in the camera bag (factory AC charger, the lithium battery already installed on the camera, and a brand new sealed 90-minute VHS-C blank tape to get a buyer started), point out how clean the body is for the age, and prove the camera still powers on, zooms in and out with the telephoto / wide rocker, records to tape, and plays back through the built-in screen in VCR mode. The battery had already been running for about twenty minutes when we filmed and was still holding a charge - we are not promising any specific runtime on it since the lithium pack is original and you can expect some age-related degradation, but replacement Panasonic camcorder batteries for this Palmcorder line are cheap and easy to find. A quick note on powering it: the only included way to power this camcorder is to charge the battery on the factory charger and put it back on the camera. The charger has a port labeled for the AC adapter cable to plug straight into the camcorder, but that adapter cable is not included in this lot - if you need plug-in operation you will want to track one of those down separately. If you have been searching for what the Panasonic Palmcorder PV-L550D looks like in working condition, what accessories typically ship with one, whether the built-in light still works, or whether a vintage VHS-C camcorder is worth picking up today to play back old family tapes, this is the quick reference video. âąď¸ TIMESTAMPS 00:00 What we are looking at - Panasonic Palmcorder PV-L550D 00:14 Condition walkaround and battery note 00:52 What is in the bag - charger and sealed VHS-C tape 01:30 AC adapter cable note - battery-only with what is included 02:12 Demo setup and lens close-up 02:49 Built-in light on the front of the lens 03:03 Optical viewfinder vs flip-out LCD screen 03:21 Camera mode and recording 03:46 Telephoto / wide zoom test 04:23 Switching to VCR mode 04:47 Playback demo through the built-in screen 05:35 Built-in light powered on 05:49 Final condition recap Thanks for watching.
