Monster Cake (DIY), This fuzzy little monster cake is made with Buttercream icing and fondant decorations. Lots of bright colors and a big goofy smile makes this little monster cake adorable. My Chocolate Buttercream Recipe 1/2 cup unsalted butter 1/2 cup shortening 1 Tbsp vanilla extract 4 cups powdered sugar 3/4 cup cocoa 2 Tbsp 2% milk 1-2 Tbsp water 1/4 tsp salt Cream butter, shortening and vanilla in mixer till light and fluffy. Gradually add sugar, cocoa, milk and water alternating wet and dry ingredients until combined.
