How to Use a Milliamp Clamp Multimeter to Diagnose Faults in a 2-Wire Sprinkler
2-Wire Irrigation systems require a special multimeter to diagnose. The clamp multimeter used MUST have milliamp capability. If it does, this video shows how and where to test a 2-wire system to diagnose which splice or decoder is faulted. In addition, true RMS is the most accurate internal method and is also desired in a good milliamp meter.
