The forum's theme is "Revision of the Mining Code: What are the stakes for the legal stability, competitiveness, and attractiveness of the mining sector in the Democratic Republic of Congo?" The event brings together legal, tax, economic, and environmental experts, as well as investors and members of civil society. Faced with the challenges of the energy transition and global value chains, the President of the Chamber of Mines, Kasongo Bin Asor, and the National President of the FEC (Federation of Congolese Enterprises), Robert Malumba Kalombo, emphasize the need to stabilize the legal framework, currently weakened by amendments incorporated into finance laws. The objective is to build a modern, predictable, and competitive legal framework that guarantees both state sovereignty and investor confidence in the local processing of resources.
