Terreno em Declive: Como Fazer Aterro Sem Errar
Sloping terrain isn't a problem when landfill is done with planning, compaction, and proper slope stabilization. In this video, I show how a sloping plot can be transformed into a much flatter and more usable area using layered landfill, machine compaction, and proper finishing of the slope at the back of the lot. The most important point is understanding that it's not enough to just dump earth haphazardly. Landfilling needs to be done in stages, with compacted layers, respecting rainwater runoff and creating safe containment with slope stabilization and vegetation. This type of solution can greatly enhance the value of a sloping plot, especially when the goal is to build, landscape, or make better use of the lot's usable area. Sloping terrain isn't the problem. The problem is doing it without proper technique. The objective is to show how a plot of land originally sloping was transformed into a flat lot through the technique of landfill and earthmoving. 00:00:50 - Leveling and Drainage Explanation of why the land was raised above street level: the main objective is to prevent rainwater from entering the lot, ensuring that runoff occurs naturally to the green area at the back. 00:01:29 - The Landfill Process (Earth Volume) Details on the amount of material used. Approximately 30 truckloads of earth were needed to fill the slope and gain height, especially at the back, where the difference in level was more pronounced. 00:02:07 - Layer Compaction The fundamental technique for stable soil: the earth should be spread in layers of 40 to 50 cm. After each layer, the weight of the excavator and the trucks themselves is used to compact the soil before adding more earth. 00:02:57 - Finishing and Use of the Slope Demonstration of the "skirt" or toe of the slope (the inclined cut at the end of the embankment). It is explained how the machine uses the force of the bucket to hit and compact the face of the slope, ensuring that it does not collapse. 00:03:52 - Grass Containment Recommendation for finishing the slope: the use of grass mats with stakes to prevent erosion and ensure the definitive containment of the soil. 00:04:31 - Ideal Machinery: Backhoe Loader vs. Excavator Technical analysis of why the hydraulic excavator is preferable for this service. Its superior weight provides better compaction and the reach of the arm facilitates the design and finishing of the slope.
