My Solo Trip Around Taiwan ~ Part 4

Shot on Leica M6. Part 4 is finally here! I'm about to round the southern corner of Taiwan and head back up the western coast towards Taipei. But before any of that there are still a lot of places in between to explore. So for the next stop I spent a day in Kenting which is the souther most point of Taiwan. This was always going to be a destination for me as an unofficial half way point of my trip. I just finished riding the East coast of Taiwan which is mostly beautiful nature, open roads and fresh air. Once I round that corner I am heading towards the big cities of Taiwan. The first big city I'll hit is Kaohsiung. Kaohsiung in my opinion is a really underrated city here in Taiwan. Taipei gets most of the spot light but I feel like Kaohsiung has it's own unique personality and I'm glad I was able to experience it on this trip. The pace is slower, there are less people and everything seems a bit more spread out which felt great when riding my motorcycle exploring the city. I checked out some awesome places: bookstores, music shops, markets. Ate some good food, and even went shopping for a bit. It was weird at first especially having just come from the mountains, but I'd like to think that i'm pretty adaptable and it was nice to be in a different environment. Ironically it felt fresh to be in a city. My trip is almost over. Having a blast so far and hope you can follow me around Kenting and Kaoshiung and check it out from my point of view. Mike ft.
