Antiques Roadshow's Most Marvelous Salesman Samples | Best Of

Subscribe for more weekly #AntiquesRoadshow clips! Antiques Roadshow has evaluated dozens of Salesman Samples since the show's debut in 1997. Join us as we showcase the program's most spectacular, complex, and expensive finds! Salesman samples are miniature or prototype versions of products used by sales reps in the 19th and 20th centuries to physically demonstrate and advertise items to retailers. Often highly detailed with working parts, these antique samples, such as cast iron stoves, tools, or machinery, are valuable collector items. Unlike children's toys, even the tiniest design elements were painstakingly replicated to craft a comprehensive—yet portable—representation of a full-size product.
