Camille nous raconte comment elle a repris goût au travail après avoir été harcelée

“I didn’t find my dream job. I made it happen. Today, I’m a full-time freelancer, and against all odds, I earn roughly three times what I did as an employee. It might sound daunting on paper, but once you’re actually doing it, it’s fantastic!” After years of being an employee, Camille chose to become a freelancer. Harassment, being sidelined… she recounts the unfortunate events that led her to reinvent herself professionally and feel like she was in the right place for the first time in her life. Before becoming a freelancer, Camille was an employee, first in local government, then in the private sector when she was offered a marketing manager position at a recruitment agency. She saw it as the opportunity of a lifetime: “Small company, great atmosphere, big prospects, on the Champs-Élysées… it was a dream come true,” she recalls. But she quickly felt isolated, overwhelmed with work, and even humiliated. She was subjected to comments about her appearance and gradually sidelined. She couldn't even seek help from her superiors, as the harassment originated from the management team. Then one day, taking advantage of a fabricated accusation of serious misconduct, Camille negotiated a mutual termination agreement and left. She emerged from this experience weakened, 10 kilos lighter, and with her self-confidence shattered: "I told myself I was worthless professionally." Yet, shortly after, the phone rang: a competitor liked her work and commissioned her. The only condition: to work as a freelancer. She, who had never considered becoming a freelancer, completed one project, then two, then three… "Pretty quickly, I realized I enjoyed working this way," she explains. Eventually, it became her full-time job. Today, not only is her income three times higher than when she was an employee, but more importantly, becoming a freelancer has allowed her to wake up in the morning thinking, "I really want to get to work." #testimonial #work #freelance _______________________________ Welcome to the Jungle gives work a lasting place in our lives. 👉 Subscribe to our YouTube channel (and turn on notifications so you don't miss any videos 🔔!):    / @welcometothejunglemedia   👉 Find all the articles from our media outlet: https://www.welcometothejungle.com/fr... 👉 Looking for a new opportunity?
