You've Never Truly Seen an Insect Until You've Seen This

This is my first full-fledged, real, long-format video! I’ve been working on it since spring and all through the summer. Waking up at 4 a.m., heading to the shooting spot, searching for a little bug (there were days when I couldn’t find a single one). Ticks crawling on me, mosquitoes eating me alive (I used repellent spray but still), gnats flying into my eyes. Dozens of hours of filming out in nature. The police were called on me twice. Terabytes of photos, video, and audio. Dozens of hours of computer processing of all that data, and endless days of painstaking, second-by-second manual editing. Absolute madness that no one will ever truly realize or appreciate. Everyone will just think this video was shot in 15 minutes on a phone from my pocket (or accuse me using AI). This is my life’s achievement! 00:00 Intro 00:24 1️⃣-Walker's Green Lacewing (Chrysopa walkeri), female 01:44 2️⃣-Honeysuckle-Umbellifer Aphids (Genus Hyadaphis) 03:09 3️⃣-Buffalo Treehopper (Stictocephala bisonia) 04:26 4️⃣-White-legged Damselfly (Platycnemis pennipes) 06:01 5️⃣-Triangle Crab Spider (Ebrechtella tricuspidata) 07:27 6️⃣-Common Blue (Polyommatus icarus) 08:54 7️⃣-Ground Crab Spider (Complex Xysticus cristatus, Genus Xysticus), female 10:11 8️⃣-Western Honey Bee (Apis mellifera), female worker 11:32 9️⃣-Ladybird Fly (Gymnosoma rotundatum) 12:35 🔟-Seven-spotted Lady Beetle (Coccinella septempunctata) All insect names were identified by the iNaturalist community — thank you ❤️ MacroLab3D is dedicated to stereoscopic macro. 3D in my name refers to stereoscopy, not CGI. This is all real mother nature creations, not AI. FAQ: • Why the shaking: On this channel everything stays still during the photo session, and only camera moves. I am adding the wiggling to improve your depth and form perception on a flat screen. This is a known effect called "Wiggle stereoscopy" and is the main feature of this project. I also have other, no shaking stereo formats, check out my Playlists. • Camera: This is not just about a camera or lens. This is macro photography with wiggling. I have detailed tutorials in the Members Section and on Patreon if you are interested.
