👉 This time we will study special features of Lucas rear break caliper with 38 mm diameter piston. This brake caliper is used in a number of popular cars such as: Nissan Primastar, Opel Vivaro. 😉 The brake caliper is supplied with a built-in parking brake mechanism. You will notice it if you examine the caliper back side with actuating levers fixed on it. The upper lever is tightened to the parking brake rod. The mechanism itself is located inside the caliper housing. 👍 In this video we will show you how to disassemble the brake caliper. Only after we make sure that all the components are faultless and no signs of corrosion are detected, we can change the repair kit and assemble the brake caliper. 😊 MS30001 specialized tool is used for mounting the parking brake and installation of a C-ring (locking ring). With this tool you will be able to compress the strong spring and to be sure that the locking ring is fixed exactly in its original position.
