Brioche Round Two Color

Learn the steps necessary to start a 2-color brioche project, worked in the round. PLEASE NOTE: in the video where I say to twist the colors at the beginning of round... don't! I'm going to eventually re-shoot this and omit the twist. When you come to the end of round, move the yarn that you're no longer using out of the way and pick up the new color from underneath without twisting. Knit Along What you'll need: 16" circular needle in a US 8 (or DPNs, your preference) 2 colors of worsted weight yarn (I'm using Wooly Worsted in "Saffron" and"Aqua" from Ewe Ewe Yarns) Stitch marker Here's the written version of what I'm speaking about in the video. Abbreviations: brk: brioche knit (knit the st together with its wrap) brp: brioche purl (purl the st together with its wrap) sl1yo: slip 1, yarnover (with the working yarn in front, slip the st purlwise, creating a wrap as you move the working yarn into position to brk or brp the next st) Cast on 80 sts (if you are using DPNs you may cast on fewer on each of the 4 needles, ensuring that you have multiples of 2 on each needle). Round 1 (setup round, Color 1): *K1, sl1yo; rep from * to end (last st worked is the sl1yo). Round 2 (BRP rnd, Color 2): *Sl1yo, brp; rep from * to end. Rnd 3 (BRK rnd, Color 1): *Brk, sl1yo; rep from * to end.
