𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 Old School Kickboxing 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟴𝟬'𝘀 Jean-Yves had a phenomenal fight record of 𝟲𝟵 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝘀 (𝟲𝟭 𝗯𝘆 𝗞𝗢𝘀), Widely recognized by his colleagues, he was named Full Contact Fighter of the Year in 1983 by the American magazine Black Belt 𝟮𝟯 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀! 𝟭𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗮𝘁. A few of Theriault high profile victories include two wins against future four time K-1 champion Ernesto Hoost and a draw against the legendary Don "the Dragon" Wilson. He has also fought world champions Rob Kaman, Jean-Yves has bad back problems and pain, so he had to end the fight prematurely.
