La magie d'un procédé photographique presque oublié avec lequel il "Peint" ses photographie

Nicolas Guyot uses a photographic process with silver grains, which, through a play of textures, gives substance to his photographs. His photographs are taken with various cameras of all ages and enlarged onto a wide variety of supports that I collect, prepare, and create. He enjoys examining the same photograph multiple times to see all the different images it can offer, and seeks to make the photograph disappear in favor of the image itself. Thus, his photographic work remains true to the spirit of the pictorialists: the material and the gesture are of paramount importance, and the unique result contributes to the dual temporality of the images; between the moment of capture and the moment of its final creation, life itself chooses what they will ultimately express.
