The Big Three Conferences | Tehran, Yalta, Potsdam | WW2 Ends, Cold War Begins
Designed for GCSE History. The Big Three of Stalin, Roosevelt and Churchill, and later Truman & Attlee, would meet in the major 'Big Three Conferences' between 1943 and 1945 to decide the fate of Germany and Europe once the war ended. The agreements were very telling of the parties, but more important was the new rivalry that developed between the USA and the USSR... This video covers: 1) The Tehran Conference of 1943 2) The Yalta Conference of 1945 3) The Potsdam Conference of 1945 4) The effect on these conferences on the relations between the East and the West as the Cold War begins to materialise. These videos are made by Andy Hassan as part of the History Blast series. These are meant for educational purposes only. At the start of the video, I introduced the channel as 'History Bite'. Please note that this is the old name of History Blast, which was changed in August 2021. The use of the name can be attributed to the Trademark 'History Bites', registered to Solomon Schmidt. #gcse #history #coldwar
