Battle for AmaXhosa throne
The amaXhosa kingdom is still beset by royal squabbles. Since the death of King Zwelonke Sigcawu in 2019, the royal family has been divided on who should succeed him. President Ramaphosa issued a recognition certificate in February 2021 to Prince Ahlangene Sigcawu as the new monarch of the Amaxhosa Kingdom but the other faction within the royal family says government didn't consult them in that process. eNCA's Nceba Ntlanganiso filed this report.
