¿Jugar en el bando alemán te hace nazi?

Does playing as the German side in a wargame imply sharing their ideology? In this video, I reflect on a question that can raise doubts outside the hobby: the difference between role-playing in a game and adhering to an ideology. In historical wargames, the player chooses a side as part of a set of rules. The decisions made during the game are not based on a moral stance, but rather on an objective within the game. Just as an actor can portray a villain without sharing their values, the player makes decisions from an assigned position, understanding the game as a model, not as an endorsement. A reflection on how we play, what it means to assume a role, and how board games are perceived from outside the hobby.
