Six Months On | Carbon Star⭐ OR Up Carbon Creek? | Imaging Newtonian
Hey guys here are my thoughts after using this little scope which although made by GSO gets rebranded under many names. It packs a good punch but you need to also be aware of it's shortcomings. This is the GSO 6inch F4 Newtonian, probably the most common incarnation is the Apertura CarbonStar. The hub I mention is the Gemini Astro Powerbox which I got from AliExpress. If you do purchase just be sure to ask about the focuser as it will probably depend on brand and old/new stock as to if you get an updated one.
