Super video on probability calculations to understand what a random variable is, what discrete random variables are, and how to recognize them to solve probability and statistics exercises! In particular, I'll cover: The Bernoulli random variable, which allows you to classify an event as a success or failure. The Binomial random variable, which counts the number of successes obtained in n independent trials, so each trial is a Bernoulli. The Geometric random variable, which allows you to determine how many trials you need to perform to obtain the first success. The Negative Binomial random variable, which counts the number of trials you need to perform to obtain the kth success. The Poisson random variable, which counts the number of successes obtained in a certain time interval. The Hypergeometric random variable, which is related to the draws from an urn without replacement.
