📦 CARGO RUN LOG: EHRD TO EDDW | DAHER KODIAK 100 Welcome back to the cockpit! Today we are hauling critical time-sensitive cargo from Rotterdam The Hague Airport (EHRD) to Bremen Airport (EDDW) in Germany. If you enjoy realistic single-pilot IFR operations, turbine engine management, and real-world European routing, make sure to hit that LIKE and SUBSCRIBE button! 👍✈️ ✈️ THE FLIGHT DETAILS *Aircraft:* Daher Kodiak 100 (Series III) with external cargo pods *Callsign:* PH-BDN *Departure:* Rotterdam The Hague Airport (EHRD) - Runway 24 *Arrival:* Bremen Airport (EDDW) - Runway 27 *Cruising Altitude:* FL070 (7,000 feet) *Route:* EHRD ANDI2A ANDIK M105 REVLA T948 GIBMA GIBM2P EDDW 📦 THE CARGO & PRE-FLIGHT We are maxing out the Kodiak's utility today. The main cabin seats have been stripped out to accommodate three crates of high-priority maritime vessel components bound for the Bremen shipyards. In the belly cargo pods, we’ve packed 250 lbs of express medical diagnostic kits. Total payload is sitting right around 2,100 lbs. Weight and balance are tight, but well within the envelope. The Pratt & Whitney PT6A-34 turboprop whines to life smoothly under overcast skies. Taxiing out to Runway 24 at Rotterdam, the external pods add a bit of drag, but the Kodiak handles like a sturdy truck on the ground. 🛰️ ROUTE ANALYSIS & PILOT'S PERSPECTIVE DEPARTURE (ANDI2A SID) Lining up on Runway 24. As the torque climbs, the PT6 roars and the Kodiak wants to fly almost instantly. We rotate, retract flaps, and follow the ANDI2A Standard Instrument Departure, banking right over the densely populated Dutch landscape. Entering the soup at 2,500 feet, it's straight into the instruments on a steady climb to FL110. ENROUTE (M105 Airways to ANDIK & REVLA) Leveling off at FL070. The Garmin G1000 NXi shows we are tracking airway M105. *Meteorological Observation:* We are skimming the top of a broken stratus layer. The outside air temperature (OAT) is a chilly -3°C. I've got the structural de-ice boots cycled and engine anti-ice turned ON as a precaution against light rime ice. *Onroute Highlights:* Passing ANDIK, the clouds momentarily part to reveal the massive IJsselmeer to our left—a beautiful, vast expanse of water reflecting the morning sun. Shortly after, crossing the German border near REVLA, the landscape transforms into the structured patchwork of lower Saxony's agricultural fields. THE TRANSITION (T948 to GIBMA) Tracking northeast along airway T948 toward GIBMA. The headwind is giving us a slight penalty, but our ground speed is holding a respectable 165 knots. Single-pilot IFR in this airspace keeps you busy; managing fuel balances, monitoring turbine gauges, and copying Bremen Radar's stepping descents. ARRIVAL & APPROACH (GIBM2P STAR) Bremen Radar clears us for the GIBM2P arrival. We begin our descent out of FL110, dropping back into a thick gray layer of moisture. The automated terminal information service (ATIS) at Bremen reports winds from the east at 12 knots, visibility 6 km, and light drizzle. Passing GIBMA, we intercept the ILS for Runway 09. The Kodiak stabilizes beautifully on the glideslope. Flaps 35, landing gear down (welded in place, one less thing to worry about!), and breaking out of the cloud base at 800 feet to see the welcoming lights of EDDW. Touchdown is smooth, followed by heavy beta prop reverse to make the first high-speed taxiway exit. Cargo delivered on time! ✈️ *Addons used:* FS2020, SimBrief, Navigraph, Daher Kodiak 100 by SWS #MSFS2020 #Kodiak100 #FlightSim #Aviation #CargoPilot #IFR
