Ajay takes Bill, Julian, Sarah, Meera and Lucy on a cross country ramble which will end in a barbecue. Bessie gets out and is discovered by Pat stuck on a ledge of a cliff. Ajay and the kids arrive at the bottom of the cliff. Pat rushes off and gets Amy who abseils down to rescue the sheep. Unfortunately Amy gets stuck as well and Pat has to overcome his fear of heights to abseil down and rescue everyone. Back on safe ground Bill thanks Pat for rescuing his beloved pet. Each story features Postman Pat and his black and white cat Jess and their adventures in the village of Greendale. Pat is more than just a friendly postman delivering the mail, he is always ready to lend a willing hand to all the people he meets on his rounds.
