Walking Around the English Coast – Over 3,000 Miles | Episode 5: Cliffe to St Mary Bay Beach Welcome to Episode 5 of my journey to walk the entire coast of England, a challenge that will cover more than 3,000 miles on foot. This episode is a little different from the previous walks. Due to the remote nature of this section of the coast, I had to walk around 4 miles from the car to reach the starting point, before beginning the coastal route. At the end of the day, there was another 4-mile walk back to the car, meaning that although I covered a lot of ground, only around 6 km (3.7 miles) of the official England Coast Path was completed. Despite the slower progress, this stretch between Cliffe and St Mary Bay Beach offers beautiful views across the Thames Estuary, peaceful marshland scenery, and some of the most remote sections of the route so far. Every mile is part of the adventure, and sometimes the logistics of long-distance walking are just as challenging as the walk itself. As always, there is no talking, just walking, so you can experience the sights and sounds of the English coastline exactly as I did.
