Sylhet Keane bridge was built in 1936 and was named after Sir Michael Keane. Sir Michael Keane was Irish govornor of Assam. The Keane Bridge is 1150 feet long and 18 feet wide. During the Bangladesh liberation war the bridge was blown off by pakistani Army. Then it was repaired in 1977. Sylhet Keane Bridge is heritage of Sylhet.
