Caça F-39 Gripen é usado pela primeira vez na Defesa Aérea do Brasil

The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) has reached a new level of operational capability, air power, and strengthening of national sovereignty. From the Anápolis Air Base (BAAN), the F-39 Gripen fighter jet was employed, for the first time, in an Air Defense Alert mission, a milestone that consolidates the aircraft's full operational capacity within the country's aerospace defense system. The action was part of the permanent activities of policing Brazilian airspace and was coordinated by the Aerospace Operations Command (COMAE). The mission was executed by the First Air Defense Group (1º GDA) – Jaguar, responsible for operating the FAB's F-39 Gripen aircraft, fulfilling national air defense missions, focusing on the protection of the federal capital. Currently, the 1º GDA has ten aircraft in operation.
