Yes we have done this topic before, and have really confused people. Or so we have been told. BUT we have been given a wealth of information from people leaving comments. SO! We are starting back at the very beginning. A very good place to start. Just what is track gauge? Just what is standard gauge? Why is it four feet eight and one half inches? Before we can really discuss model railroad scales and gauges we need to understand just what track gauge is. AND as its so often misused by modelers it leads to confusion with scale.
