The leather wrap is well-made, and the hidden magnets let you prop up your painting at 2 angles. There is an acrylic sheet to keep the paints from moving as they are not adhered in the box Room to hold travel brushes or additional paint pans Cons This doesn't attach to a tripod. I really don't see any cons if you like the paint and format. You can find similar empty walnut easels that do not have a leather wrap which would be a better gift for an experienced painter or someone who doesn't use leather. I recommend this one from Lightwish as it is also high quality and you can fill it with your own paint.
