Raven Cliff Falls - Dismal Trail at Caesars Head State Park - The Warning Sign is Legit!

Join me as I hike to Raven Cliff Falls at Caesars Head State Park! If you choose to do this route you will see a warning sign - the warning sign is legit! The Dismal Trail descends quickly and then has a steep climb back. I clocked about 9 miles of hiking on this Ceasars Head Hiking Trail. If you are an experienced hiker this is a great trail with many stunning views. I started at the Raven Cliff Falls Parking area and took the Raven Cliff Falls Trail (red) to the Raven Cliff Falls overlook. Next I backtracked to the Dismal Trail (purple) and took the steep trail to the bottom. Next I took a right on to the Naturaland Trust Trail (pink) across a picturesque bridge and headed up through the woods on this difficult trail. I emerged at the suspension bridge with a beautiful view of the waterfall. Finally I headed to the Gum Gap Trail (blue) which eventually met back with the Raven Cliff Falls Trail (red) and ended at the the Raven Cliff Falls Parking lot. This loop is difficult and has several warning signs. Be sure to have the correct shoes, enough food, extra water and give yourself plenty of time to complete this loop.
