1114 - Blackpool Tramway: Starr Gate to South Shore on Monday 22nd June 2026

Welcome to Podbaba Transport Video 1114. Well, it is Monday 22nd June 2026 and, as you would expect, the trams were running as normal from Starr Gate to Fleetwood Fisherman's Walk as normal. There had been so much wild speculation on some Youtube channels that, following the report issued by the Office of the Rail Regulator, trams would not be running after 19th June 2026 - the date given by the ORR for Blackpool Transport to sort out the paperwork surrounding tram maintenance. The problem is that little bits of the report were, repeatedly, quoted out of context. ResortRider 1 now runs to St.Anne's instead of terminating at North Pier. So on Monday 22nd June 2026, we ventured forth from Starr Gate into South Shore filming the ten car tram service and filmed and/or photographed the following Bombardier Flexity 2 trams: 002 004 006 007 008 009 011AD 015AD 016AD 018 Flexity 003 was out on the Promenade showing "Sorry not in service". The eagle eyed viewer will note that the trams now show "Fisherman's Walk via North Station" when running via the station and this is a welcome improvement. We are reliably informed that every possible destination now incudes a "via North Station" screen including Victoria Street in Fleetwood.
