Why We Need to Make Things | The Healing Power of Creativity

There are moments in life when our body asks us to slow down. After spending two weeks in bed with a summer flu, I found myself reflecting on something much deeper than recovery. Who are we when we are no longer able to be productive? In this episode, I share what this unexpected pause taught me about creativity, self-worth, healing, and the simple joy of making things with our hands. Together we: 🌿 gather elderflowers for homemade tea 🎨 transform simple charity-shop cushions into beautiful outdoor cushions 🖼️ prepare one of my paintings for its journey to a new home in the United States 📖 reflect on the difference between productivity and creativity ✨ and rediscover why creating beautiful things can become a healing practice. Perhaps we are not only here to function. Perhaps we are also here to create. I hope this film gently reminds you to reconnect with your own creativity—whatever form that may take.
