Master improviser Pippa Evans chats to Idler editor Tom Hodgkinson about the art of improv, thinking on your feet and learning to go with the flow. Plus we hear from the Idler's resident philosopher, Dr Mark Vernon. Pippa Evans is a comedian, songwriter and improviser. She is Assistant Artistic Director of 'Showstopper! The Improvised Musical' and was part of the creative team behind 'Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5 The Musical' in the UK. She has had numerous appearances on shows such as Just a Minute and The Now Show. Pippa’s television work includes: Tonight at the Palladium (ITV) and Gareth Malone’s All Star Music Quiz (BBC2). In 2013 Evans co-founded The Sunday Assembly, a monthly gathering for the non-religious. She is the author of 'Improv Your Life', a guide to embracing whatever life throws at you.
